Total newb here, I have a customer that wants 5 ip addresses for their business. We use pppoe for our customers and i assigned the block of ip’s in my ip address and i see it in routes, but when i turn on the modem it doesnt give them the ip for that range. The tik gives it something out of my regular ip pool. I also have their interface as static. Any idea of what i could have wrong.
it’s a network route the /29 that you hand over to them via PPPoE should be assign on their CPE as LAN IP and the /29 that you assign to your customer should be advertise going to your edge with your IGP of choice to make a proper routing
