I am sitting 10 feet from and in plain sight of my new hAP AC. Connecting to the 5G AP looks good:

Connecting to the 2G AP looks good too:

However, my ping behavior varies widely based on which AP I am connected to. E.g. on the 5G it looks fine:
--- 10.23.0.1 ping statistics ---
20 packets transmitted, 20 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.800/1.225/2.664/0.463 ms
However on the 2G latency is all over the place:
$ ping -c 20 10.23.0.1

This translates into higher latency and choppy VOIP connections on 2G (they sound fine on 5G). I’ve also noticed that the 2G signal does not travel through the walls in my house as well as the 5G (I thought it was supposed to be the other way around?).
What could be going on here? Is the 2G antenna or chipset in the hAP AC that much worse than the 5G? Could interference from other networks explain all of these differences and if so is there a good way to test that theory?
