2x Nstreme Dual (in bonding) configuration

Hi everyone,
which is the best way to balance traffic with two access point on each side (about 500m, each AP has two antennas) configured in nstreme dual?

This is the actual configuration (every device has RouterOS ver 3.9)

  • each AP is configured in nstream dual
  • I’ve created two EoIP tunnel (eth1a ↔ eth2c // eth1b ↔ eth2d)
  • the two EoIP tunnels are configurated in bonding with balance rr
  • there is a bridge between ETHLAN and the bonding interface on each router

Everything works, but i notice that the speed of two EoIP tunnel is the same than one EoIP tunnel (tried to disconnect one AP).
I tried to recreate the same setup locally (with ethernet cables instead of wireless) and I have the same behaviour with EoIP tunnels bonded (about 86Mb/s). Bonding ethernet interface directly (locally of course), without EoIP tunnels, works fine instead (about 180Mb/s).

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

Hi. Do not actually have your answer, just maybe an idea. Did experimenting with NStream few years back but it had a way of stopping to function, without explanation, maybe problem fixed now. Any how, what I propose is that u use 802.11 n cards with your two aerials as above, much easier to set up, works well and have the same speed. Also make use of OSPF to TX data on APa-APb link and RX data on APb-APd link. There is a WIKI that explains how to set this up. This will also give you redundancy should the one link go down.

it’s your choice, BUT, we have made 270mbps or real 100mbps with 802.11n CHO+CH1 (2x2)
I would take a try with 802.11n+nv2;
pings 5-20ms under load 50-60mbps
