2x SXT AC 5 One in Router mode and other in client mode

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to work out and issue for the last couple of days that have been giving me quite the headache.

Let me first start by explaining I have 2 SXT AC 5’s at about 300 meters distance from each other.

Previously I had them setup in PTP Bridge mode where was one the server and the other one was the client. This worked great until we needed to revamp the network a little bit.

What I’m trying to change is allow for the second location to have its own network and own external IP addresses.

This is what I’m trying to do:

SXT1 (Router Mode)
External IP: 206.x.x.x (Physically connected to ISP switch) We have plenty of extra IP’s for allocation.
Internal IP: 192.168.10.1
DHCP Server Enabled: 192.168.10.2-10
1:1 Nat to 192.168.10.3
SXT2 (Client mode)
Internal IP: 192.168.10.2 (given by SXT1 via WLAN)
Connected to local router via wired cable

Local router
Internal IP: 192.168.10.3 (again given by SXT1 via SXT2 wired cable)

Visually it would look like this:
Internet → SXT 1 (location 1: WAN: 206.x.x.x Local: 192.168.10.1) <----------> SXT 2 (location 2: internal IP: 192.168.10.2) -----Wired----> [ROUTER: Internal: 192.168.10.3]

I’ve tried using the Quick Set WISP AP on SXT location but every time I enable router mode and set an external IP address i end up losing connection to SXT1 and need to reset it. (I’ve enabled remote management port to the outside on the firewall and ICMP to see if I could ping the unit without any luck)

At this point i’m convinced i’m doing something absolutely wrong and would love to have someone more experience point me in the right direction!

Thanks!
