3.0b8 - Device linked to two (or more) segments

The Dude 3.0 beta 8 running on Windows XP Professional PC with Service Pack 2. Monitoring multiple remote sites with Cisco/£Com kit.

I’ve been playing with The Dude for a couplke of weeks and certainly find it useful. However, I have hit several problems:

  1. If I set AutoDiscovery to run on a regular basis, it will often link an existing device to a new or different segment, so that I end up not knowing which segment the device is really connected to.

  2. If I set AutoDiscovery to run on a regular basis I often end up with the same device being added into the map a number of times.

  3. At one site a 3Com SuperStack II is discovered as a segment, so I have about 20 PCs, printers and terminals hanging off the one map icon, without the usual ‘hover over’ information.

Any advice/guidance much appreciated!
