3.0rc1,rc2,rc3

Hello,

I test 3.0 rcX series wireless,

test configuration:
2 rb532r4 with
2xcm9
2x 2m h1000
2x lowloss pigtail
2x 22dB grid
distance 500m
elevation 35 deg.

connection mode: configured each device to ap-bridge ptp connection via wds
band: 5GHz turbo

2.9.x (34)
A signal -54
B signal -57
rx,tx ccq (97%-100%)
throughput 3MB-4MB /s(24Mbit-30Mbit) tcp connection
Very stable and reliable

3.0b5
A signal -57
B signal -58
rx,tx ccq (94%-100%)
throughput 3MB-4MB/s (24Mbit-30Mbit) tcp connection
Mostly stable

3.0rc1
A signal -60
B signal -62
rx,tx ccq (97%-100%)
throughput 0-4,5MB/s (0-40Mbit/s) tcp connection
frequently lose the connection with high data transfer, but faster than 2.9 and 3.0 b5

3.0rc2
A signal -61
B signal -63
rx,tx ccq (98%-100%)
throughput 0-4,5MB/s (0-40Mbit/s) tcp connection
frequently lose the connection with high data transfer, but faster than 2.9 and 3.0 b5 but better than rc1

3.0rc3
A signal -62
B signal -68 (yes)
rx,tx ccq (99%-100%)
throughput 1-1,5MB/s (9-12Mbit/s) tcp connection
recently not lose connection stable in test data

But 3.0rcX changelog does not show any high modification in wireless.

Experiences? Future?

Sending from 2.9.43-> 3.xrcx Always see loss of throughput at udp sending to 3.x above 14.6mb/s and any tcp speed above 2.4mb/s
Sending from 3.x.x to 2.9.x is very fast…

Robert

It would be nice to see UDP results also…

Is this a throughput test ? Does bandwidth test runs from one remote location to other through the routers?

I dont like udp tests. This is variabled mtu random data and high traffic quasi fixed mtu tcp (ftp) transfers run on independent host directly connected via ethernet to the network test appilance.

Hello,

rc4 test same environment, same hardware

3.0rc4
A signal -58
B signal -64 (yes)
rx,tx ccq (99%-100%)
throughput 4-4,5MB/s (30-40Mbit/s) tcp connection
stable (runs 24 hour with only one problem)
The first usable release in pre3.0 series .
