when running 20Mhz channels, our channel selection options are 912Mhz and 917Mhz, when running 10Mhz channels, our options are 907Mhz, 912Mhz, 917Mhz and 922Mhz, and when running 5Mhz channels, our options are the same as when running 10Mhz. Shouldn’t we have more channel options in 5Mhz then 10? I would expect to see 905, 907, 910, 912, 915, 917, 919, 922 (with each channel actually being 2.5Mhz seperated) I know the radio is still listening in 10Mhz channels even when transmitting in 5Mhz, but why limit our options to the same center channels? 90% of the people that are going to use 5 or 10 Mhz channels are doing so to either allow higher density deployments, or to avoid interference. allowing the center channel to be adjusted with more options, should help with both density and interference.
p.s. same should apply to 2.4 and 5.8, but I’m personally only concerned with 900 right now…
