*) fixed problem - console did not accept ip address ranges correctly;
*) user manager - fixed problem with accounting creating too many sessions;
*) console:
added ip-prefix and ip6-prefix datatypes, written in address/mask
notation;
INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE: expressions of the form “(123/45)” (where first
operand is literal unquoted value) currently will be parsed as single
string, to write division put space before ‘/’ (like with ‘.’ operator);
added operator ‘in’ that checks if first argument is inside second
argument, currenty implemented for the case where second argument is
ip-prefix or ip6-prefix and first argument is either address or
another prefix;
don’t perform full reset of terminal on login;
fixed terminal capability detection, now windows telnet client
works better. TERM environment variable is ignored completely now,
it was overriding detected values before;
*) added support for Huawei E220 USB modem;
I finally don’t need to manually clean out usermanager sessions every week
How many ‘rc’ releases until the final?
Hide passwords is a nice feature, but it’s not implemented correctly. I can still see all my ppp secrets. Also, instead of making it stick out like a sore thumb on the main menu bar, just use a key icon and put it in the right click drop down menu with CPU, Memory, and Uptime.
WTF?? It is correct and it is called HIDE PASSWORDS!!! not hide ppp secrets. If you don’t want others to see ppp secrets simply don’t open secrets tab at all.
all im trying to say is that if it’s a global setting it should hide all passwords in winbox… if its limited to one module then put the hide passwords checkbox inside that module. It’s ugly to look at and confusing if its not really hiding passwords throughout winbox. I’d imagine it’s going to generate more support tickets than not and be a drain on the resources.
like I said, if it doesnt hide all passwords and secrets, then don’t put it on the top window likes its a global setting. put it within the ppp module window only. it’s ugly up top and leaves less room for showing cpu meter on a tiny window. At least let you hide that option with Add/Remove drop down menu that’s there.
ppp interface passwords still show. wireless passwords still show.
rc8 fixed the memory leak on rb500 but its wireless stack is still not working propey, I see a lot of diconnections on my clientes and a lot of time the ap loose the connection to all the clients…
I have some client on 2.9 connected since more then 150days ago…it is another story
