3.16 cpu max out then capped speed

Hi all,

I’ve had this issue for a while, just being trying to find something that could be causing it.
Hoping someone else may have run into this problem aswell.

It’s a x86 box, 3ghz, runs fine normally, but then all of a sudden it fails.

I’ve attached some pics so you can see what I mean.
Red marked areas, at 6:15am, CPU maxes, bandwidth limited.

Only thing in the logs at that time are NTP updates.

Has anyone else seen this issue ?

Just to add, the only thing I could do to fix it was reboot.

Are you using any routing protocols (bgp, rip, ospf, etc)?

What does memory usage look like, it is also climbing ?

No Routing protocols.
Memory is always stable with approx 400MB free.

does turning off “multi-cpu” fix it ?
