3.27 and Webbox

It has now been 3 releases since the webbox user interface was broken. In every release announcement I have indicated that it was broken, and yet it never gets fixed. On an x86 build, the interface dialog does not work.

Other enhancements that we have requested several times, but have yet to see (these would completely eliminate the need for us to keep developing a client server application for CPE management:

  1. Fix the wireless snooper function so that it works. The snooper interface did work, although hidden, in releases prior to 3.16 I believe.

  2. Add port forwarding configuration page when NAT is enabled. MOST IMPORTANT

  3. Add support for station pseudobridge in the drop down list on wireless dialog.

  4. Add ability to enable or disable nstreme

Or just add a fully functioning embedded web server that a LUA client can run from

A simple web server package for ROS will be very helpful in a lot of situations. And it would be easy to accomplish since I guess it can be based on what hotspot login pages alredy doing and what the stats graph is already doing - acting like some small web server…

and for 2. - I can recommend using UPnP, automatic port forwarding, tested and working with Skype and others…

I agree that UPnP support can be effective in dealing with port forwarding requirement. However we deal with many industrial devices that do not support UPnP, so having the ability to add a simple port forward statically is still important to us.

So then having a UPnP check box on the firewall configuration page of webbox would be helpful. When checked, it would enable UPnP with the external port being mapped to public port specified and then assign all other ports as internal. That would make sense.

Would still like to have the ability to specify port forwarding manually.

yes there are problem in cache from 23 until 27

not only bug , but we hop support can do something for these thing.

more protocol or feature more Feedback !

I saw today one of my techs use webbox to check wireless settings. It said 2.4b/g which was incorrect. Winbox said 5ghz-10mhz which was correct. This was a 532 with 3.27.
