I have 3xRB921-5SHPacT that I need setup as nodes with the same SSID which I will POE/backhaul to a LAN router.
I have 6 stations that roam between the nodes but have to be on a fixed IP that connect with other peer units on fixed IP that live on the LAN. They run a UDP stream from IP to IP and it’s not possible to use DHCP because then every new DHCP has to be reprogrammed on the fly. I’m not worried about the drop or delay when the station will switch nodes. But it must maintain the same IP
I’m new to Mikrotik, and a bit green to this kind of setup. Just having trouble wrapping my head around the subnets, and IP settings.
I’ve currently got a station on fixed IP and seeing the mikrotik (in bridge mode) and the LAN, but the peer on the LAN does not connect with the station on the WLAN. I think I need to probably be on router mode and not bridge mode, but then I would have to have individual subnet??
Any suggestions?
