Hey guys!
I am setting a hotspot network where access to all users will be free for a limited time of 2h per day.
My RB433 are all connected to a Firewall DMZ zone that I am setting a static IP address.
Now, for my wireless network, I want to have DHCP and also I want to enable the hotspot function.
The other two RB433 will be set as bridges just propagating the main AP’s signal.
Shoud I create for example the following:
eth1: 192.168.1.20/255.255.255.0
wlan1: 10.0.0.20/255.255.255.0
I should create a bridge that would link the eth1 coming from the firewall with the wlan1 interface right?
What type of wireless network should I choose? ap bridge?
Now I need to create a DHCP server on the wireless network, that will assign addresses to all roaming devices on the network.
Should I go into the wlan1 settings and assign a DHCP server for that particular interface?
Also the hotspot needs to be applied on the wlan1 interface right?
How would I configure the other two APs acting as relaying stations? They need to propagate the main AP’s signal throughout the area.
Any help is greatly appreaciated.
Thanks much in advance,
Teo
