30 km 5 Ghz coverage

Hello,
We are trying to build a base station which will work on 5 ghz we need an 180 degrees on about 30 km coverage what equimpent should I use .

Thanks on advice

 None that is legal in the United States, Europe, or really anywhere

In Norway you can request a permit to operate with higher EIRP. And as far as I know, you have the same option in other countries in Europe. How things work in the US or Asia I don’t know - somebody else might have input on this.

With such a permit, you are allowed far higher EIRP in your PTP links and a modest rise in EIRP in PTmP sites.

So yes, we know it’s not legal. But perhaps the_time has a permit? And his question was not “is this legal”? His question was “how can this be done”.

Anyone up for a hardware challenge? :sunglasses:

Exactly I have premision to do this but what I asked is what equimpent should I use for e.x two 16 dbi sectors on base and on client side 30 dbi parabolic anntena or some thing else my question was 30 km away form the access point to connect a client . I think that was an misunderstand .

Thanks.
