3G modem status "NOT SUPPORT" under ppp-client

Hi All,

I am testing 3G modem support in RB 750UP. I have tested Airtel modem which is working fine without any issues. But when I connect Tata Photon + modem, I am not able to browse the internet. While displaying “ppp-client” info command, for Tata it id displaying “Not support”.

I have checked 3G hardware compatibility and both 3G modems are compatible “http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#3G_cards”.

Not working (Tata):

[admin@MikroTik] /interface ppp-client> info 1
status: NOT SUPPORT
pin-status: ERROR:SIM not inserted
functionality: full
manufacturer: +GMI: HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD
model: EC1261
revision: TCPU_HWEC1261DT02

current-operator: ERROR: parsing failed or reply timeout
access-technology:
signal-strengh: -51 dBm
frame-error-rate: n/a
– [Q quit|D dump|C-z pause]

Working (Airtel)

[admin@MikroTik] /interface ppp-client> info 0
status: ready
pin-status: no password required
functionality: full
manufacturer: huawei
model: E1731
revision: 11.126.15.00.00
serial-number: 354369043364315
current-operator: 40440
access-technology: GSM compact
signal-strengh: -67 dBm
frame-error-rate: n/a

Is the issue could be with the provider on a whole or some settings?

unlock the SIM PIN and then try to check again info command.
Also maybe the data-channel needs to be changed.
