New to routeros - still 20 hours on an initial license to go.
I’ve got 4.0 beta 4 running on an x86 board (VIA MII) and have a R2N installed via a mini-pci adapter. wlan is recognised and the card appears to operate, though briefly. If I enable the wlan interface or do a scan or freq usage then either immediately or at most after 30 seconds I get a reboot. During the short period of operation the scan or frequency usage does give some results. So:
(1) Is this a known problem?
(2) I’m running without display/keyboard attached, is there any way I can capture the cause of the reboot?
I should have taken notice of the compatibility guide. It stated that a EPIA MII 12000 locks up under heavy wireless load, in my case this meant 5 to 30 seconds of a wireless scan, or immediately on enabling the wlan. Substituted an Intel D945GCLF2D board and all is now well.
