I set up a test-system (I586) with ROS 4.1, and the following features:
- Masquerade
- caching web-proxy with parent (Linux box with squid)
- hotspot
- user-profile with transparent proxy
It worked basically, but when trying to trace down the reason for a problem when editing yahoo-message-board, I disabled the web-proxy to isolate the location of the problem. And disabled transparent proxy in user-profile of hotspot.
However, the parent proxy (squid on a LINUX box) was still used.
