4 km wireless link

Hello all, this is yet another stupid topic from me.

I’ve got a 4 km wireless link built with old Ovislink access points; now I’m looking for a way to get it work better.

I’m thinking about 2 RBs with 802.11n NICs and directed antennas (actually, I have antennas already).
Is there any Mikrotik proprietary extensions or enhancements? What is the real bandwidth I can get?

Thanks.

It’s depend what the frequency of you antenna…
Here is my suggestion..

If 2.4Ghz: RB433 + R52H (u.fl connector)
If 5Ghz: RB433 + R5H (mmcx connector)

Read the 802.11n topic thread to find speeds and throughput that people are seeing. It is a very active topic and there are many postings showing throughput.
