4 NIC / 2 SERVERS to RB750G - CONFIGURATION ADVICE NEEDED

Hi,

We are about to deploy a MIKROTIK RB750G. This will be connected to a ISP router with 10 public ip address range (201.216.198.100 to 110).

On the internal LAN I have two servers, each of them with 2 nics. The idea is to connect the four nics to the rb750gb to achieve some level of fault tolarance and load balancing if possible. This servers will host web sites, DNS (we will cache them on the rb750gb), SSH consoles and a vpn service.

How can we achive this? What’s the best solution scenario?

Best regards,
Hernán.

If you need fault tolerance then it is better to use two routers. Each server’s interface is connected to each router. Otherwise if RB750g fails then your server is not accessible no matter how many ethernets are connected to the router.
