411AH LAN stops communicating - reboot fixes for a while

Hi,

I have a RB411AH on a mast connected to a RB493AH in the comms room. Since yesterday a problem has started occuring: pings between the 411ah and 493ah stop making it through with nothing in the log on either router. When I reboot the pings work again and traffic goes through again - for a while - and then this problem happens again.

The cable run is around 100 Mtr and I have a 24V pac wireless PSU running the 411ah. The voltage is showing as 21.5V in system->health in the 411ah. I’m running 4.10 on both routers.

I’ve now locked the ethernet ports on either end to 100Mbit fullduplex with no auto-negotiation - but this hasn’t removed the problem.

The 411ah is very hard to get to so I’d like to rule out any other issue (PSU?) before replacing it.

Has anyone come across a problem like this?

thanks,

Derek

Try switching them to 10Mbps FD.
Check if there are no physical damages in the cable (rainwater drops in?). What changed in the premises? Maybe someone ran 10kV line near your cable?
The 411AH setup is simple AP, I suppose, so reset it and configure it fresh. Change PSU if possible.
