I changed an old comercial router yesterday with a RB/450
Everything works fine exept a strange problem with a FTP Server
on a linux machine. As the FTP connection starts, I can see it
in the connections table as established, it stucks in the meadle
of the process. After a while I can see a message from the server
that: “426:failure writing network stream”
I know that on the server side is used vsftpd as FTP server
Sorry to bring this back fellows, but I still don’t have a solution for this problem
I have done a lot of search around the web and every one keeps telling that it is
a firewall/router related problem. I also am convinced for the same, but just can’t
find where mikrotik is blocking it.
I had some conversions with the owner of the FTP server too with no results at the end.
For the MikroTik, check there is no firewall rules for the FTP, make sure FTP helper is enabled in /ip firewall service-port. That’s all from the router’s point of view.
