4G LTE Confusion

I live in a relatively rural location in the UK. Although I have to rely on a relatively flaky Radio Broadband connection in my home I do get a great data signal outdoors on my phone, (I always assumed it to be 4G). I now therefore want to use this signal to improve my broadband connection but am confused about the model of item I require. There is a SXT-LTE & a SXT-4G model available and I’m not sure what is correct - I can connect to EE or 4 at around 60mbps and am ideally looking for a similar speed. Any advise appreciated.
Thanks

Hey

SXT-4g support ONLY 4G. It will not connect over anything other. SXT-LTE support 4G+3G+2G.

Regarding the speed, your phone will have a better modem (if any recent it will support Carrier Aggregation (~bonding for LTE)) than what is in SXT. So most likely you won’t get similar rates. On the other hand, SXT will have better antenna. If you direct it right and put high enough, who knows…

In addition to that, 4G supports less of commonly used frequency bands than LTE (bands 1 - 2100MHz and 8 - 900 MHz). Also TDD band support is different.

Whether this matters or not … you’ll have to find out. Best would be to ask MNOs servicing your neighbourhood.

Thanks.
I’ll give it try and see how I get on. I’m currently achieving 15mbps so hopefully see an improvement.
