Hi,

I am starting to install the LTE router for clients, my routing knowledge is quite limited. I have had success in installing using the quickset.
Running a script to populate the APN options for UK Sim Cards.

I set the unit as DNCP server and connect an internal router (normally ubiqiuty cube) in Auto DHCP Mode.

I just wandered if there are any other tips in configuration on the Mikrotik Unit to get the best out of unit -

Do I need to turn off Firewall Router?
Do I need to set the MTU?
How does the quickset VPN work?

Pdata say:

ad1) If your ISP not give you a Public IP then this can be not used. All default’s are ACCEPT and you should consifer create a firewall rules later.
With Public IP - you must start with Firewall from your first customer.

ad2) generaly no, only when you have problems with MTU.

ad3) This is not a VPN Server, but this is MikroTik own DDNS service.
