4G usb modem support

I have a RouterBoard hAP AC running routerOS 6.40.5

According to the wiki, the Vodafone K5160 usb LTE modem is supported. Yet in the Interfaces/LTE menu, it is impossible to enter the APN, username or password for the device.

Once entered and clicked ‘apply’ the details then just disappear again. When I do get them to stick, and then click on scan (presumably to scan for mobile networks) I get the following error:

“Couldn’t start - Info not supported! (6)”

Have I gone wrong somewhere or is there an issue in the software?

Do you see the same thing, if you enter all information from the CLI?

As much as I can tell.

I used this as the basis for my input, obviously substituting my details.

/interface lte
set [ find ] apn=phoneprovider.net authentication=chap name=lte1 network-mode=auto password=web user=web

I don’t see any change when I go back and look at the settings in the gui, and of course trying to run a scan results in the same error.
