5.4 - 5.725Ghz frequencies

What do I need to do to be able to use the 5.4 - 5.7Ghz range on my Mikrotik router with a CM9 card? I heard of some sort of special license.

Thanks,
Boka

Hi,

No, you do not need super channel license for that . What you need is to change your country setting on your CM9 card to Zimbawe and you get all frequency from 5.180GHz TO 5.885GHz. Also, just make sure its legal in your country to use those frequencies to aviod problems with regulators.

When I did that, I was only able to use 5120 - 5825. Running 2.9.24 with a CM9.

Is it also valid for frequency 2.3-2.5 ?

Thanks

Thanks for the excellent response, that did the trick.

this means that your country allows only that range. you do not want to violate the local law, do you?

if your country does allow the range that you wish to use, just set frequency mode to ‘regulatory-domain’ and select your country in the ‘country’ setting. then all frequencies that are allowed in your country, will become available. no special licenses are required.
