Hello
In the upcoming month I will work on setting up a 5k+ nodes Dude. The client has already installed the Dude server and I will have to check what hardware did he choose. Anyway I wanted to know your experience on such large installations. Have any of you setup a network this large before?
I have done 100+ nodes, but no more than 500.
What hardware did you choose as a server and I am more concerned about database size and consistency.
Thanks
If you want to keep it managable, use a CHR. Set the time on the pollers a little longer and change the retention time for the collected data. The database will stay smaller and more manageble. This works loke a charm for up to 1500 devices, but 5000… Best not to make promises or try other management software.
Thanks for your answer. I will see to start with one CHR
What is your RAM usage and HDD usage for 1500 nodes?
I have always the possibility to split this in 2 or 3 Dude servers if I see that 1 becomes unstable because of the size of the database.
