after HOURS of testing.. I AM CONVINCED that 3.x and my 532 do not work… I have tried to update with every new 3.x version and ALWAYS fall back to 2.9.50.
I have 3 ports on my netgear fsm726s bonded to the 3 ports on the 532… and i route 5 vlans over the bonded ports…
works AWESOME in 2.9.50 (for a long time now)
I started with a fresh config… bonded the ports.. set the vlans… added a dhcp client to one of the vlans for a cable connection… gets an address… one simple dstnat line to masq out the cable interface … doesn’t work… half the time i lose the connectivity to the router on the local net as well… ALWAYS wind up on the serial port to perform a downgrade.
I have upgraded 532s by FTPing the file and rebooting, and by netbooting and installing the 3.x version with the netboot utility. Either both will work or one will work.
you have to tweak the config if your specific setup doesn’t work after upgrading from 2.9
Of course v3 and RB532 work together perfectly, we have them all over our network.
You should send some supout.rif files to support if something specific doesn’t work
Don’t know what you are doing but i have less problems with 3.x now than i did before on 2.9.x on 532’s. Let’s see your configuration and tell us what isn’t working.
