Did anybody tried to put 5G modem in ATL18 ? I don’t know why Mikrotik don’t have 5G ATL version yet…
Quectel RG502Q-EA should work, it is modem from Chateau.

One issue I see in the ATL LTE18 brochure is that the antenna gain graphs all stop at 2.7GHz, so I am not sure how well it will perform in the 3.6GHz band. The LHG LTE18 dish antenna covers all the way to 3.8GHz before dropping off.
This is how I suggest attaching the coaxial cables in the ATL to the RM520N:
EG18-EA ANT0 → RM520N-GL ANT0
EG18-EA ANT1 → RM520N-GL ANT1
EG18-EA ANT2 → RM520N-GL ANT3
EG18-EA ANT3 → RM520N-GL ANT2The low frequency (<1GHz) bands are carried on antenna ports ANT0 and ANT2 with the EG18-EA and ANT0 and ANT3 with the RM520N-GL, which is the reason I suggest swapping ANT2 and ANT3 around.
Do you know if modem on ATL is soldered or socketed ?
That same thread shows a photo of it. And more importantly the spec sheet on www.mikrotik.com shows “M.2 slot: 1”.
But your modem likely has different connectors, so may need some jumper adapt a 5G modems’s MHF4 connector the U.FL used by the ATL.
Today I tested with ISP 5G indoor router just to see if there is any performance benefit in such an upgrade.
Over 400Mbps DL, great performance jump over 4G so i think it’s worth voiding warranty and spending a little bit more money for 5G modem
So I have RG502Q-EA from Chateau 5G but there is 8 antenna connections… ATL18 only have 4… On the other forum they used RM520 which have 4 antenna connectors.
