Hello Group…
I have just replaced my old radios with MT.
At my NOC I have a RB/333 F/W 3.2 running 1 5Ghz MINIPCI.
Below is the Interface/Wireless settings for the NOC radio;
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
0 R name=“wlan1” mtu=1500 mac-address=00:15:6D:50:03:93 arp=enabled
interface-type=Atheros AR5213 mode=ap-bridge ssid=“GigaNetP2P”
frequency=5290 band=5ghz-turbo scan-list=default antenna-mode=ant-b
wds-mode=dynamic wds-default-bridge=Network wds-ignore-ssid=no
default-authentication=yes default-forwarding=yes default-ap-tx-limit=0
default-client-tx-limit=0 hide-ssid=no
security-profile=Network_WPA2_Profile compression=yes
At Tower 1 I have a RB/600 F/W 3.2 running 1 5Ghz MINIPCI for the P2P, the other slots in the RB/600 have.
1 5Ghz MINIPCI serving as another WDS P2P acrossed the valley to Tower 2.
1 5Ghz MINIPCI serving as a WDS AP to clients surrounding Tower 1.
1 XR9 MINIPCI serving as a WDS AP to NLOS clients surrounding Tower 1.
The P2P WDS links only need to communicate with P2P’s, all WDS AP’s utilize a different SSID from the WDS P2P’s.
When logged into the RB/333 and viewing the Wireless/Registration I see that the 5Ghz P2P from Tower 1 is connected solid.
But when I go to Tower 1 and log into Winbox on the RB/600 and view the registration I see the NOC P2P coming and going from the registration list.
While at Tower 1 with the RB/600 when I view the log I see the following message regarding the NOC P2P trying to establish a connection to Tower 1 P2P;
00:15:6D:50:03:93@wlan1 connected, is AP wants WDS
00:15:6D:50:03:93@wlan1 disconnected, unicast key exchange timeout.
I am using WPA2 encryption with a 504bit key.
In each unit I created an Access List for the corresponding P2P radio to connect by and have provided the Private Pre Shared Key in each alike with Authentication and Forwarding enabled.
What is causing Tower 1 to not connect the NOC?
I only planned on having my clients down for one day and am now on day 2!
Thanking you in advance for your help
