After upgrading four 951G 2HnD’s, things look fine. But after doing a “/system reset-configuration” there is no configuration at all on the router. Instead of reverting to 192.168.88.1, the ip seen in winbox is 0.0.0.0.
There is no configuration on the router after any type of reset, winbox, terminal, or reset button.
The screen informing of “RouterOS Default Configuration” DOES appear after the reset. BUT it does not actually apply any of the settings seen in the window.
The wireless nic and security profile do actually get generated, so some portion of the default config script is actually running. But it must be failing before completing on ros 6.3.
What can i do to find out where in the script it is failing? The log doesn’t show anything related to script errors.
I got same problem on 750G, it can rename only eth1 to gateway, then other interface remain unchange, and no DHCP is set.
I’m guessing this is what hit me too..i updated to 6.3 and few days after that did factory reset..and now i cannot access my box anymore via ip 192.168.88.1 or via Winbox.
I did write topic about this but it still is waiting for a mod approval.
Tested on ROS 6.2, no such problem, so I think it is 6.3 bug.
I’ve been running into the same issue and addressed it with the support just a minute ago.
v6.4 has it fixed, release this week.
