I have an RB450G configured mostly as switch with the exception of one interface where it routes so been using 6.41rc for the new switch/bridge implementation , I’ve had a problem over the last couple days where it appears it stops passing traffic after a while (Usually happens overnight at somepoint).
Now it may well have been down to a bad PSU (when I power cycled it I had trouble getting it to power back up reliably) , so I’ll give it a couple days now I’ve swapped PSU’s and see if it’s more reliable before raising a case for support.
Thought I’d post here to see if anyone else had noticed any issues with 6.41 on this platform.
Great feedback! I’ve been tracking the newest RC as well on the MikroTik gear I run at home. I personally haven’t observed that condition on the 3 units I run it on, a 750Gr3, a WAP AC, a CAP lite.
It’s just done it again with the new PSU, and interestingly the Vlan’s it’s passing through at L2 appeared to work ok, it looks like the IP on the bridge interface stops responding for some reason as when it happens I can’t ping that IP or access winbox.etc using it.
That would explain why the L3 interface stops working the IP that sits on the bridge is used as the next hop in the primary router for that /27 so if the IP on the bridge is dropping out so is the return path for any traffic routed by the RB450G would also be lost.
