I just auto-updated my CHR nodes last night, and one of them broken. This runs on a HyperV 2008 R2.
“Loading system with initrd
ERROR: could not find disk!
Please attach it somewhere else.”
I would put it to a SCSI controller, but sadly HV 2008 R2 can’t boot from SCSI.
Any advice?
Rolled back to 6.40.7 (bugfix) now it works again. Please investigate the problem about the IDE drivers on Hyper-V.
It is a bad joke. No reply here, or to the support ticket at all. They dont even send a “working on it” message about this.
Seriously, mikrotik support gone this bad?
Getting the same behaviour on 2012 R2.
Same here, running on HyperV 2008R2, after upgrade 6.41 to 6.42 (and later 6.43 rc) RouterOs wont boot, it says
Loading system with initrd
ERROR: could not mount disk!
Please attach it somewhere else.
I copied VHD to a VirtualBox machine and it booted ok, looking in resources I saw its loading “ide” storage drivers instead of “ata_piix” loaded in 6.41 on HyperV.
I download 6.42 CD and made a new install on HyperV and its works ok, so support to 2008r2 on 6.42 seems to keep going, of course I have no license for that, and need to upgrade my CHR.
Any workaround? ideas? Thanks
