Don’t have to do anything critical this weekend…

So I figured I would frustrated myself again.

The hAP AC2 in the basement has been working perfectly for months now. Wireless disabled.

Using Ruckus Wireless results in downloads in 500M+ range consistently across the house.

Removed the Ruckus and placed the audience in the exact same spot. Plus it’s configuration is “as close as I can get it” to be the same.

But the audience has an extra radio.
So once again we are running
Ch 1 2x2 20mhz
Ch 36 2x2 80mhz
Ch 149 4x4 80mhz

We are running AC without the benefit of beam forming or MU-MIMO.

Against the WiFi6 2x2 unit I have been using for months now.

21 Items connected across all three radios… will keep an eye on it over the weekend.

Sunday morning… Everything is connecting and disconnecting. Video streaming cut out.

Swapped back to the Ruckus and everything is back to normal.

Guess I will try again at th next software release.

Back in the box for now.

Audience has station roaming enabled by default.
This caused continual disconnects for me until I switched it off. Stable since then. (I do have very poor throughout on wlan3 but that’s a different story).

Installed WiFi ACV2 drivers.

Lost caps-man
Lost VLANs?
Virtual APs caused the the master interface to show some wild numbers on MTU

Did get a 444/450 speed test thou.

Back in the box.

Hard Default The Unit once again.

Installed 7.1rc4

Built dhcp client and bridged all interfaces.
Configured wireless on 3 radios. Set channels and frequencies. Added SSID and passphrase. Set unit to WAP2-PSK ONLY

WiFi3 gets the best throughput with the channel manually set to 149 with a 80Mhz width. 400/400 with 10 other devices on the same radio.

VLAN seems to be hidden / missing.
No caps-man still…
ohh well.
