60GHz products, narrower channels than 2Ghz?

Simple question: Why Mikrotik 60GHz products cannot use narrower channels than 2160MHz?

This is requested from the beginning…

  1. chipset doesn’t support it
  2. development is needed = would take years…

Why Metrolinq can ? (Half Channel support)

Different price class, different hardware

With this hardware is it sure it won’t be possible in the future?
And one more - when will be available Cube Lite60 with gigabit ethernet?

Thanks a lot

Wait for X-Mas…
Look around, there are some solutions with smaller Channel available.
And some with 5 Ghz Backup coming up…

Can you be more specific? What 60 ghz device with a smaller channel?
If you don’t want to mention it publicly send it to jenya@seznam.cz

What about more than 8 stations per sector? Especially the 180deg sector (wAP60Gx3). Is it just an arbitrary limit set by firmware, or some real hardware limit?
I would not complain about 100Mb ports in Lite60 if it was possible to connect 80 (not 8 ) of them. Then I would need no reverse-PoE switches to share LHG60’s.
If this max 8 limit is due to CSMA/collisions - make a good TDMA/polling protocol.

@mistry7 is just being sarcastic …
