We don’t have too many 60ghz in multipoint mode, they’re fine in PTP but for whatever reason this is a recurring problem where the stations will either flap or just stay disconnected
No amount of messing with the stations will get them to reliably reconnect, the only ‘fix’ is to reboot the AP. Every other possibility (changing frequency, restarting just the radio interface, disabling all stations and slowly letting them reconnect 1 by 1, mdmg fix, everything) does not fix it. Only a reboot
Note that it may not be ‘all’ stations, infact usually 1 or 2 do remain connected therefore the radio itself is still operational. However I can’t get all 4 back until the AP is rebooted (was far worse when I had 8, but split it up to lessen the impact). At which point it’ll be fine until X days/weeks down the track when it happens again
This isn’t great. Was hopeful that 7.19beta would resolve the problem as there are 60ghz stability ‘fixes’ but alas no this still happens on very latest beta
Seeing if anyone else has the same issue and has magically found a fix, other than moving to Wave…
