750g crashing

Hi,
I’ve got a 750g that just hangs from time to time.
It isn’t even in the “ip neighbours” list of its neighbours.
Before it disapears it starts to drop pings. It startet when i upgraded the router to the latest and greatest 4.41.3.
once i reboot it by pulling the plug it starts working again - for a week or so.
Anyone with the same issues?

Downgrade to bugfix and see how it works. Current doesn’t always mean stable.

Does downgrade ro bugfix work without losing any configuration? Never „reverse updated“ before

Its always smart to make a backup before upgrading or downgrading. However downgrading or changing version doesn’t wipe anything.

Is the routerboard firmware up to date?

That may sound stupid - but is there a difference between RouterOS and the firmware?

/system routerboard upgrade.

There’s a definite difference. If you go to
/system routerboard print
you can see the current and upgrade versions.
/system routerboard upgrade
will upgrade you but you’ll need to reboot afterwards. The general rule of thumb is to check for and apply any firmware upgrades both before and after a RouterOS upgrade.

Thank you so much. I feel stupid to not have know about that after all that years of using Mikrotik. I marked your answer as solution as I asume this might have solved the Problem. A OS on a very old firmware can‘t work right. Thx again

No problem. Let us know if it works!
