750GL Downgrade problem

Hi All,
I like to downgrade 750GL from 5.2 to 4.17 version. I have more than 10 pcs. 750GL and I tried at least 5 of them but results are exactly the same.
After restart the routerboard I cannot connect via winbox. I have to reinstall 5.2 with NetInstaller. I am also tried to install 4.17 via NetInstaller but does not work for me.

There was no problem with 750G.

Is there anyway to downgrade to 4.17.

750gl was released post 5.x so I’m guessing 4.x will not work on it much like the RB1200.

yes, this is the case. Rule of thumb is - try not to downgrade router lower than version it was shipped, there is usually good reason behind that. (version has correct routerboot to support different parts in revision, version has support for feature at all etc.)

My downgrade reason is I cannot use 5.x UM because of API problem. I cannot add credits to user via API. I am looking forward to add this feature.

Hi I would like to know if I downgrade from 5.10 to 4.17, do I still need to update the firmware also…(downgrading firmware)
