It says that the interface is set up to operate at ! Gbps full duplex but that doesn’t mean that the CPU, OS and all the other bits that make up the PC can actually send and receive at that speed!
Also look at the published throughput on the router:
1-line udp is 320 Mbit Send, and recieve do not work, in both it growth up to 300Send/20Recive Mbit (go throw point 150Mbit/150Mbit)
In tcp it is 40Mbit in Btest, but Windows show that in fact it is 100Mbit, also it is in sum Tx+Rx 100Mbit in “both”, in Recive it is 70Mbit, mb router cant generate 100Mbit/s traffic, mb Rx go down becouse router cant generate enough traffic - becouse in resources screen of router i see that it is 100% load of router CPU.
So it seem that i make mistake in settings? This router must work with higher traffic then 50Mbit/s tcp - right?
Can you help me with settings? (i can not get 100Mbit full duplex for utorrent)
I think you’re entirely misunderstanding the concept of ‘usable’ bandwidth.
Link speed is the theoretical maximum transfer rate over the link. The RB751G simply cannot generate 1Gbit worth of traffic, nor could it ROUTE 1Gbit worth of traffic, since every single packet needs to be processed by the CPU.
If you are dealing with switched traffic, you could transfer 1Gbit over the connection, because no CPU intervention is required to process each packet.
Your “speed tests” are being limited by the finite resources available in the RB751’s CPU.
I can not get full duplex, 100Mbit/s full duplex, only half duplex - this is a problem. I see problem while using utorrent, btest only approve that it is half duplex.
