Well, if you do read 802.11ac specifications, you will find that it is as clean to the spectrum as a space shuttle - 80Mhz.
Even now, we have polluted enviroment - do we need more pollution?

Also, Buffalo is a company, that creates IT stuff for posers, IMHO - no real use, just good numbers.
Not a bad modulation, though in a crowded 2.4/5Ghz spectrum… we struggle to work with 64qam.
But, I guess it is worth waiting for, just to see. Scenario is simple - Atheros gets licence and makes a chip, gives specs to Mikrotik, and in about “two weeks” (quoting Normunds… ) we get routeros realease with support for that card and the card itself.
And, more than that, I would like to see a single chips solution (Atheros wlan+Quallcom dualcore) - then we add justa bit of components, stuff it in a small round housing with antenna and stick on a dish - that is a reasonable evolution of groove.

Yes they announced it, but from your link: “Qualcomm Atheros is sampling its 802.11ac chips to customers in the second quarter of 2012”, so mass production is not started yet.
Well, sampling is definately for vendors, like Mikrotik - early bird catches the worm, you know.
Othervise we would have to wait longer.
Anyway, I am not sure, this will bring revolution with our strict European frequency plans, but we shall see in the future.
I can see why new model home routers are desirable, but they still do not have dual wan load balancing (only WAN port).
Maybe MikroTik can offer software like the QuickSet, for instant dual-wan PCC, that can enable a gigabit RouterBOARD to be desirable by the same people to put it infront of their cool-looking home router from a well-known home/PC vendor.
