Hi all,
sorry for the simple question but i can’t find a certain answer on web ![]()
I want to use a routerboard to build a “classic” access point for an hotspot setup, until now i’ve used groove with a single 8dbi omni antenna.
Recently inside a building i’ve used CISCO WAP121 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5678/ps12236/ps12250/c78-697404_data_sheet.html and they have a fantastic performance with simply 2 x 2dbi mimo antennas.
Now i want to try to build the same thing with mikrotik product, these are my questions:
- I need two antennas to have 802.11n?
- If yes how I have to install them? both vertical, for example?
- I don’t need speed, my needing is distance and signal quality (i have to share a 20mbps adsl)
- Which kind of antenna i’ve to use for omnidirectional propagation?
PS: I’ve already setup a 802.11n outdoor ap with sectorial MIMO antenna (it has two N connector), my doubts come from omnidirectional propagations ![]()
thank you very much,
and sorry if my question is very stupid.
