in the past I have used a Mikrotik as a Radius supplicant for Dot1x in combination with older Siemens switches.
Now I have used a current Scalance XC200 and it no longer works.
The supplicant starts the authentication, the switch aborts, no packet is sent to the Radius server. The packet capture shows different protocol versions 802.1X-2001 (MT) and 802.1X-2004 (Siemens). The ROS version during the test was 6.49 and later 7.12. The MT versions of the protocol are identical and the results are identical(fail..).
Will there be a ROS update in the future? The issue is related to the MACsec implementation (I guess), which is not needed here. It is just an established solution that is maintained and kept alive.
Does anyone else also have this problem?
Should I look for another supplicant to replace the MT?
