8602 + SR9 + R52 in 133..

I’m running this at an install i just finsihed…i should be worried based on my power caluclations…right?

before i installed it i ran full bandwidht tests simultanously on both the 8602 and the sr9 (i used 2 extra 112’s and card as clients to the 133)…no issues…all ran 20hours straight.

how can this be? I thought the 133 could not handel this power load…is disaster looming at my new install?

in our tests RB133 did handle 3 HiPower cards - that brought RB133 to the edge, so you should not run into problems

ok well it turns out this CANT work.. i was not able to see teh R52 after some time, and i tried testing a SR2 and that gives a really weak signal.

The 8602 and the SR9 seem to be working when the sr2 is disabled..

When you disable a card, does the card still draw power?

i’m using a 15v 1000ma Powersupply to a PoE injector then 50 ft. of cable.

any ideas?

this -stop working is like

  1. wireless interface disappear from interface list
  2. it is still there but no traffic.


    Does reboot help to solve anything?

did you tried to change the cards?

and what cards exactly you have tested in that board, combinations and results would be nice.

have you tried another PSU?

I was just gonna post about this, did a search first.

What PSU is recommended for a rb133 with high powered cards? I won’t be loading it up yet, just one SR9, but probably will be soon.

i install 19v 3.42Amp laptop power supply with 2 SR2 and 1 200mw card works fine so far and the power supply is cold(compare when i connect it to the laptop)

i start using laptops power supply its more profssional than regular power supplys even better than POE power supply

i m buying non orginal toshiba laptop at resnable price anyway it can make 50watt @ least better than 18v 1amp power supply which have 18 watt @ full performance

this setup is in fact now working. the issue was not power related.

im about to test 2 xr2s + 1 r52 in a 133
