I have 2 sites around 4.5km apart. Theres 500m of trees in the middle.
Im looking for some feedback from people using SR9 or XR9’s, what distance are you running? what obsticals? what thoughput are you getting?

To Rb411’'s 2 Xr9’s with 12 dbi antenna’s you will be good to go. 500m Of trees are not much that 900mhz cant handle, Im currently going 4 miles NLOS (not sure how much vegitation im going through though) With a good signal you should get 2-4Mega Bits. good luck 
The XR9 Spec sheet on the ubiquiti website says they can do 54mbit, anyone managed to do this?
Not possible. You would need perfect spectrum and signal which you’ll never see.
yea dont expect that wiht 900mhz Even if you can get it to use a data rate of 54 mbit. Lucky if you ever see 5-6 mega bits of data thourhg 900mhz, Just to low of frequency. You may want to try 2.4ghz in the 5ghz specturm with high gain antennas Not sure if it will punch through but if it does you may have more bandwidth with that than 900mhz. Well good luck.
Its not too low of a frequency, just too prone to interference. I’ve gotten 54mbit in testing. Once you go above about 30ft of elevation and its near LOS with a single cell tower, forget it.
I’m running a 532a/XR9 AP at 2200 ft. altitude, 11db omni.
Clients are 411/XR9, 12 db Rootenna, most at 900’ altitude, range 1.5-7 miles.
Mix of vegetation thick enough to obscure the hill the AP is on to LOS.
One way throughput around 12-14mbps, both 5-7mbps.
Running in 2Ghz-10Mhz channel, noise about -90 average.
I have a good signal on the same setup, I get the High 60’s lower 70’s on a CPE> But When doing a bandwidth test I can only push 2megs 1 way and that is received *(download) that is in the 2ghz 5 mhz spectrum though. Good perfomance for you though I live in motorola heaven though so Im sure im experiencing interference. Thanks Motorola.
