a fight to finish... :-) need all the help

hi,

i recently have recvd. a case where i need to build a PtP link of almost 8-10 kms.

i am having a non-line of sight condition.

finally i am competing with MOTOROLA (cambium) PTP100 who have claimed that no one can beat them in the NLOS scenarios.

i have decided to beat them with Mikrotik in my hand…

all hands and knowledge, experience very much required…

 well…i surely am trying to take on a Goliath…

but history says it all…

Is the 900MHz band allowed in your country?

Non line of sight, how bad?

if its all about p2p100 series  the price is from 1000$ :open_mouth:
so what ever they use on 2.4, 5.1, 5.2, 5.4 and 5.8 GHz they need line of site (if the physics for them work differently) so on thise freq. there is no such ting no one can beet us with
NLOS scenario.
All that I can find is that p2p100 quality is good they can stand winds up to 325km/h temp from -35 to +50 bla bla bla noting about performance (I give guarantee they can go up to 25mbit) and 2mbits with NLOS scenario
just for >1000$ for unit lol

just if u can find in the middle one point that have line of sight with the main points P1<->M<->P2 u can do it for 200-250$ (about 80-100mbit one way)
p2p-p2p

And for the fact I dont like Motorola they products are ok they come out with TDMA protocol but I think they are so so so much pre-preprized (its like they sell a name on the box for 1000$)
And when some company come to me (like in u’r case selling old black and white TV for more than 1000$) and preaches to me “we use one of the best equipment in the world called Motorola” I just " lol dudes when it was in 1995 oh no it was 1985"
just forget about Motorola its old news (TP-link can do better than u)
Anyway there is no more Motorola (still not yet) -is sold to google
but now google realized that it dosent need it (They bout old bunch of patents and technology)

hi there… your words are inspiring…

formerly known as Motorola PTP100 it is now known as CAMBIUM NETWORKS.

Google Cambium Network and you will see their site… I just happened to see a few videos there and those are also talking about the NLOS conditions which their products can handle. If they say so much are they using something more than just TDMA or OFDM ??

cmon
ptp100 is working on 2.4 and 5.1-5.8Ghz
NLOS condition on 8km lest say on 5.1-5.8Ghz it will happen if they use >2-4W amplifier and throughput will suck (I tryed same on 2.4ghz 3-4km)

ptp100 are very expensive, let say its canopy technology throughput will be max 25mbit with Line of sight, they have 1 polarization (A standard).

sxt are more than 20 times cheaper, throughput 100mbit duplex (200mbit), they use N standard, its implemented TDMA protocol nv2

It’s depend how nlos condition… if you really want to setup… you need the dual vertical 29Dbi solid dish parabolic antenna… make it run on at least RB411AH with F52N-Pro…

With this setup you can really bite Motorola which useless one…

But one thing is, not sure do you have dual vertical dish antenna as this is special design by the principal for our special requirement…

one more update ptp100 can go max up to 14mbits (but as I read u must have license key for that throughput they are sealing u with license for 2mbit and u have to upgrade for more)

from http://www.barcodediscount.com/pdf/Cambium-Networks/ptp-100.pdf
“A simple license key upgrade system enables operators to add more throughput as their network requires it from as low as 2 Mbps in some regions of the world up to 14 Mbps.”

dont tell me u cant beet this
