As you can see from the Winbox shot we have a cracking good connection, nstream is on, yet every few seconds the connection is dropped and reconnects.

As you can see from the Winbox shot we have a cracking good connection, nstream is on, yet every few seconds the connection is dropped and reconnects.

The disconnects appear to have stopped as a result of my switching on “adaptive noise immunity” - client mode.
From a study of the Mikrotik manual, with its obscure English and its “you’ll only understand this if you already know the answer” approach it appears these might have been ‘disconnect time-outs’ triggered by 3 failures of ‘on-fail-retry-time’ cycles. (If anyone can offer up a translation in simple English of the Mikrotik explanations of these functions, please do!)
This begs the question as to why I should be getting three consecutive package failures with an SNR of 37 and a CCQ of >80%.
