We have a ptp with rb411ah+rb800, single chain at 40 MHz, nstreme and WDS (but not for bridging). Max throughput is ~ 70 Mbps, with a cpu load on the 411ah about 60 %.
For 1 day, we used a rb911, ROS 5.25, single chain, nstreme and WDS. At 60 Mbps, packet loss was about 7 %.
Routing table isn’t so big: ~200 entries.
Overclock is viable, but is there a better way? Maybe MPLS? Or, simply, is rb911 not good for this ptp?
Bridging is less than a last resort, but if it is the only way, I’ll consider it.
