About RS232 port. HOW TO SUPRESS ECHO

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if there are a way to supress the echo of the RS232?.
Maybe the Mikrotik people know a command or some procedure to deactivate the echo on this port.

What you see on serial output? Just turn off echo on your serial terminal program. On Hyper terminal it’s under File, Properties,Settings,ASCII Setup

I don’t wanna see the characters that I type. I have to connect an external device that send commands to mikrotik over RS232, but first I have to disable de echo that Mikrotik do.

Any idea?
