About session-time-left,HELP ME!

Hi,everyone
help me!
how to get session-time-left’s value?
It’s will show status.html

example those pic:

Have you defined time limit in profile? Because session-time-left will be there only if you’ve defined time-limit.

I’ve got the same problem, I believe this is a bug of the User Manager latest version, why?

For Hotspot
If you set “Limit Uptime”, ok in the “Status page” & in IP > Hotspot > Active > Session Time Left, it SHOWs the “Time Left” normally,

For User Manager
Even, for the profile you set the “Validity” to something , 30d for example,
in the “Status page” & in IP > Hotspot > Active > Session Time Left, it DOES NOT SHOWs the “Time Left” for BOTH location.

I know it’s a bug and also Occured in Earlier version too, but it’s already FIXED,
However, for the Latest version 6.12, this BUG COMEs BACK.

And yeah I’ve just noticed this bug for about a week and 1st I don’t know it’s a bug, I’ve thought that I’ve mis-configured some setting,
but after been trying for a week doing
1)Restore all backup which files that I believe still working NOT WORK

2)Restore the “User Manager” to the previous version which I believe it did work NOT WORK (this is because I keep only 1 earlier version, and as I stated before I don’t know when it has happended as the renter just complain it, and I’ve already update the User Manager version maybe 3-5 versions already, But I only keep 1 version earlier only, so I cannot go back to much earlier version of User Manager.nbk) so again, it does NOT WORK

3)Reset ALL the config of the RouterOS itself including User Manager (But keep the latest version for all *.nbk paclage), NOT WORK again,

So I really Believe that this is a BUG of the latest “User Manager.nbk” version (6.12)

Please release the new version to fix this again please, I have been mad about this to find a fix for a week already.

Thank you so much

Duplicate post.

It didn’t show what I typed earlier, so I might pressed it triple

DELETED IT

SORRY!!

Duplicate post.

It didn’t show what I typed earlier, so I might pressed it triple

DELETED IT

SORRY!!

Why would you post same text thrice ?? Is that a bug ?? lol!

I was not sure that New Users may require an probation, in order for the post to show.
It didn’t show what I typed earlier, so I might pressed it triple.

SORRY about that!!

However, instead of you mimed me, why don’t you gave me and others something helpful??

BTW, what version of User Manager are you using? I guess you are not using the latest version 6.12
Because looks likes you don’t encounter this problem AT ALL.

As I stated earlier, Mine was fine before upgrading to this version, However I’m not too sure what problem was starting from which version as I have upgraded a couple versions recently,
and I just realize from my renter that the “Session Time Left” is not showing at all. I mean otherwise, I wouldn’t notice that.

Furthermore, I also haven’t kept those earlier *.npk version, so I cannot downgrade and having a test to see what version this bug was starting.

Hope, MT team or someone can help me and others out ASAP

Thank you so much

it’s this,set this value,it’s ok

BUT I WANT GET "TOTAL TIME LEFT " TO SHOW THE USER WHEN LOGIN

help me!

Hi,c95539

I believe you are in the same position as mine.
However, I’m sure this happens to only “User Manager” not “Hotspot”

However, “Session Time Out” in “Hotspot User Profile”, it means time for “each connection” to disconnect.
From I understand you need the time to show in the “Session Time Left”,

SO, if you read my 3rd post of this topic, you can see that

For HOTSPOT → you have to set “LIMIT UPTIME” which is in “Hotspot User” > “Limit Uptime”
For USERMANAGER -->you have to set "the “Validity” in the “Profile” > “Profile tab”

Then the “Session Time Left” as you want will show.

However, if you read my 3rd post carefully, you will notice that I state that,
For the version 6.12 (latest version), I’m sure “User Manager” has some bugs.
I mean if you log in using username from “Hotspot” which you already set “LIMIT UPTIME”, the “Session Time Left” WILL show.

However, if you log in using username from “User Manager”, which you already set "Validity, the “Session Time Left” does NOT show, as it SHOULD show.
In the other words, this is a BUG.

BTW, can you tell me what version are you using? 6.xx?? or 5.xx?? or 4.xx?

OH, I forgot something,
I also notice that for the latest version of User Manager (6.12), in the User Manager > User
1)Sometime in the “Start Time” tab always shows “Not Set”, which is incorrect because I already apply the profile and already “activate” it already.
2)Sometime in the “End Time” & “Till Time” always shows “Not Known”, which is incorrect too, as after many “log out” and “re-log in”, it shows correctly, but after “log out” and “re-log in” from time to time, it shows “Not Known” again.
3)For the “Time Left” & “Total Time Left” tab, it randomly BLANK & show the correct “Time Left” OR “Total Time Left” as after many “log out” and “re-log in”, it shows correctly, but after “log out” and “re-log in” from time to time, it just shows a BLANK (no value presents) there, and I really believe it’s a bug too, because the ACTUAL “time left” still remain.
And again, after many attempts log out & re-log in, it shows again. WHAT!! = ="
BTW, I’ve tried this in all the major Browsers (IE, Opera, Chrome, Firefox, Maxthon), all give those weird result as I have stated above “3 Bugs in User Manager” & "1 Bug for the Session Time Left to show in the IP>Hotspot>Active>Session Time Left tab & in the “Status Page” where it should shown after user log in successful.

FYI, I have checked all the configs and it looks OK, and I believe I haven’t change this config from quite some times already, but it works (show those values) CORRECTLY in the earlier version

Hope, MT team can give us some help, and if it’s really BUGs, I hope to get the fix in the next version ASAP.

Thanks

THKS very much!

I’m using version 5.26

I have get the session-time-left’s value.

but I want get the “total time left” to show when the user login.

The problem of session time left, Limit Bytes in, Limit Bytes out and Limit Bytes total, between Hotspot and Userman has been around for a while. But in my opinion, you only need to bother when your scenario falls within the bounds of limiting login time of the day for your clients. This is because Radius handles the variables so well which makes the visibilities of session time left, Limit Bytes in, Limit Bytes out and Limit Bytes total in Hotspot > Active page a mare decoration. But I hope that Mikrotik solves this problem soon. But if you don’t care about this variables just go on with CoA enabled and go grab a bottle of pepsi. If not then you will need to sit in front of your sever to monitor when to logout the users as per their time margins.
Screenshot (3).png

From my post above, Lets assume u want a user to logon by 12pm to terminate by 6pm which falls within the profile of Half Day with and uptime limit of 6 hours, Now when a client walks in by 12:45 pm and purchases a time of Half Day 12PM to 6PM (uptime=6h) we all know that he then has less than 6h uptime judging from when he walked in, Now the problem is, without CoA enabled, Hotspot will not terminate his time by 6PM, and Hotspot will only terminate this user by 6:45pm because by now without CoA, session time left is visible and limited to 6h.
