About Version Stable 7.20

I have purchase RB5009 which is working well since from last 2 years

yesterday night I just update it from 7.19 to 7.20 Stable version ARM64 but right now it's showing “maximum number of connection is exceeded license limite 500”

and the user still online under 300 and I also set maximum limit 2000 from pppoe server

but the users still under 300 I also try to downgrade it but it will not downgrade

anybody please guide ma how to fix it

Check device mode will let you downgrade.

/system device-mode
print

check install-any-version in the list (near bottom)

(Result on my router)
install-any-version: no

Then change it to yes

update install-any-version=yes

You then need to press reset or mode button on the router.
(or power cycle the router)

After it reboots, you should be able to downgrade.

Note: There is also an allowed versions item (when install-any-version is false)

A useless waste of time that has nothing to do with this.
allowed-versions: 7.13+,6.49.8+

You haven't explained at all how you're trying to downgrade.

If you want to downgrade manually, in addition to copy the main package for the correct processor,
you must also copy the other additional packages already installed, otherwise it won't let you downgrade.

After restarting on the downgrade attempt, what does the log say about it?

If not work, use netinstall and after reboot reload the latest backup.
Because... you made a backup, right?

A tip for next time:
Try on another spare identical device first.
Visit the forum BEFORE upgrading... (dozen of reported problems with pppoe on 7.20+)
If it works, don't fix it...

Hmmm...

You say that you have RB5009 so I expect that it has the license level 5, so the limit is 500 connections.
Check there: RouterOS license keys - RouterOS - MikroTik Documentation

Why do you set limit to 2000 if the message reports 500 being too many? Why not eg. 490?
Are there any opened but not used connections?

Bug on 7.20 and pppoe... not license level problem...

Upgrade to v7.20.4. As @rextended said, its a bug on v7.20.

I also use RB5009 and just upgraded to v7.20.4
