Hello,
i have HAP ax3(routerOS v7.11) and configured both 2g and 5g networks. But clients with ac adapters do not see my 5g network at all. I tried to change band to ac or an, but it did not help.
Do i miss something ? Why ac clients can’t see my 5g network ?
Good question, it would be absolutely phenomenal if one can answer this question without additional information:
/export file=anynameyoulike
Remove serial and any other private information like public IP.
Attached config file
hapax3.config.rsc (6.18 KB)
And your ax devices see the network, after 10 minutes of the DFS scan?
Yes, i tried notebook with ax card and phone. They see network and can connect fine, but older devices with ac cards just do not see network even with wi-fi analizer.
What devices are we talking about ?
What network card is used in there ?
Does 2GHz work ?
Your devices are capable of wpa2-psk ?
Already tried (to test) to limit width to 20MHz only ? If that works, add 40 and then 80 until it doesn’t work anymore.
Maybe those devices can only use 20 ?
I have some really old Symbol warehouse scanners from 2010 running Windows CE which connect to cap AX / hap AX3 just fine using 5Ghz A/N.

Devices that not see 5g network:
- samsung A51
- iPhone 6+
- Huawei Honor 30
- notebook with Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac
On the other hand notebook with Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 connects to network fine.
Does 2GHz work ?
Yes, every device see 2g network and connects to it. Problem only with 5g.

Yes, tried this with no result.
Since you are using auto frequency selection (don’t !! You never know upfront what it will take), can you try to use a low frequency channel ?
Some devices are unable to see 5GHz when the higher ranges are being used.
Just for test, try 5500.
Also make sure to specify the correct country in your settings (don’t leave it default).

It’s working on it right now : channel:5500/ax/Ceee, client still do not see network.

That’s 80MHz wide.
Set it to 20MHz.
Set 5180 20MHz only… (channel 36)
Helo. Have solutions?
I just bought it hap ax 2 and only my phone connecting. (Compatible ax) but my pc and notebook (AC) not seen ax wifi. I also tried many settings. 2Ghz ax is ok. Only 5Ghz have problem.
Thanks
Edit2: If freq 5200-5320, run perfectly.
