Has anyone worked with an AC/SWI in a Mikrotik swivel antenna case? I rotate the antenna 90* and put in the hole, but it is VERY sloppy. I’m wondering if I put this in wrong.
Also, the case came with a larger cap screw and wing nut. What are these for?
You probably assembled it wrong. There are two parts to the swivel antenna, the antenna and the snap in holder.
Snap the split plastic swivel antenna holder into the antenna hole from the outside of the case with the larger part of the ring at the top (the cut out area points down).
Then insert the antenna from the outside with the stop block down. It easily snaps into place and should rotate 180 degrees if properly installed.
The setup I bought from you is tight, but the other one I have is sloppy. I did have to request more plastic pieces because not all pieces came. I’ll take the one I got from you over there next time I’m there to see if I just assembled it wrong or I’m still missing stuff. It sounds like I put it together wrong, though.
Nope, just searching for some info on the swivel antennas and stumbled across your old question with no answer.
Hey it was like a puzzle the first time I bought one of those swivel antennas. First snapped the ring from inside the case. Then upside down from the outside. It is pretty obvious once you do it the right way.
